Sushi Hub was born from a deep love for Japanese culinary traditions and a desire to share that passion with the vibrant food culture of Australia. Founded in 2009 by Master Chef Takeshi Yamamoto, our restaurant began as a small family-run establishment in St Leonards.

What started as a modest dream has grown into one of Sydney's most beloved sushi destinations. Every piece of sushi we create is a tribute to the centuries-old traditions of Japanese cuisine, crafted with the finest ingredients sourced from both local Australian suppliers and Japan.

The Beginning

Chef Takeshi Yamamoto opens the first Sushi Hub in St Leonards with just 20 seats and a dream to share authentic Japanese cuisine.

2012

First Award

Sushi Hub receives its first culinary award for "Best Sushi Restaurant in North Sydney," putting us on the map.

2015

Expansion

Opening of our second location and launch of our catering services to meet growing customer demand.
